Fashion Courses at Scuola Leonardo da Vinci

Scuola Leonardo da Vinci is offering Fashion-related courses in Rome and Milan. 

Rome

The Intensive Fashion and Italian Course is a two week curriculum, during which students will follow two parallel paths: 4 Italian language lessons every morning in international classes and in the afternoon 4 hour practical lessons, both held at Accademia Costume e Moda - ACM (Rome Costume and Fashion Academy).

In the two weeks of the course, the teachers at ACM take students through intense training, intended to help create an piece or an original model on their own. Sectors covered by the course: Design, Modeling and Prototyping Bags; Design, Modeling and Prototyping Shoes; Costume for the Performing Arts; Communication, PR and External Relations; Introduction to Fashion Design; Fashion Portfolio; Fashion Drawing.

Along with the specialized classes, we provide an Italian language course in which students have the daily opportunity to enhance their communication skills, working with people from all over the world under the guidance of language professionals in a stimulating, relaxed, and fun environment.

Milan

Through a historical journey, based on the principal developments in fashion through the centuries, you will study the styles and trends which, still today, inspire the development and the creativity of the most famous stylists. The teacher, specialized in the field of fashion and design, will present you, in chronological order, with the trends that have influenced the fashion of today. You will also be taught about some of the most important case studies to understand the birth of trends and the creative dynamics of today. 

A fascinating journey which retraces the development of the most important fashion and accessories designers to present students with the biggest changes which occurred in fashion between the 18th and 20th centuries. 

These changes regard tastes and international fashion trends, schools, main players and contexts. The study of such changes will be combined with an analysis of social and cultural transformations, as well as advancements in science/technology, in economics and in the distribution of merchandise.
